His expertise is based on managing the sales cycle in the DIY and hardware channel. He is expert in preparing and deploying the Key Account Plans related to these Channels.
Quim Riera started his career in the Sales Department of Procter & Gamble in 1997. Afterwards, he’s ben National Key Account Manager at Coca-Cola and Pastas Gallo for 7 years. Finally, he has been Sales Manager at Grohe Spain for 6 years.
At this stage in Grohe Spain, he started and developed the DIY Channel in order to reduce dependence of the difficult construction market being faced in 2008. This year, he opened Leroy Merlin directly and this continued with Bauhaus, Aki, Bricor and Bricodepot).
During the period 2008-2014 this channel has grown significantly at the company and today it represents a competitive advantage in the market. This project is a success story that inspires the Implementa DIY method.
Quim Riera has a business degree and MBA by ESADE and Maitrise en Sciences de la Gestion by HEC Montreal.
